El Choro Guatemalteco

For New Year’s Eve, 2002-12-31, El Choro Guatemalteco performed at First Presbyterian Church in New Philadelphia. It was part of the Mainstreet at Midnight celebration. The event repeated a performance El Choro gave in 1999. Then, we passed the hat and collected over $200 for their mission — building a church in Chex Guatemala. It was part of $18,000 collected in Ohio during 1999-2000. Volunteers in Chex had to carry every brick up the mountain to build this church. That church was dedicated on 2002-07-07. So with this performance, we say “maltiox,” thank you. Click here for pictures of the delegation to Chex, Guatemala
